Well. This is annoying.

Everything hurts/Doesn't work
I'm having this again, all of it except the sleep issue.

And no, the doctor never figured out what it was the first time.

My lack of sleep is almost certainly correlated with, and sometimes caused by, anxiety. Is there something that's ramping up your anxious/watchful levels?

I'm having everything but the sleep disturbances.... although I didn't get much sleep last night, but that's because the wind woke me up! It's the alcohol, heart, and nausea stuff that's recurred. :(

(In any case, no anxiety, thank goodness.)

have you checked your thyroid during this?
nausea & alcohol sound liver related. dont know what tests go for that, but worth checking.
good luck, frustrating health is frustrating.

Checked thyroid and liver last time; no dice. :(

Did they check T3 and T4 as well as TSH? Not all doctors do, especially the T3.

My TSH was just over the upper limit of normal (2.0) when I told my doctor I was having symptoms of hypothyroidism and she started me on low-dose Synthroid. Then when I was having the Nausea From Hell, it turned out to be a variant migraine, related to low levels of T3, so I got to add Cytomel to my morning meds. (No Armour Thyroid here, thanks; give me nice clean synthetic hormones, not dessicated pig thyroid.)

I'm apparently very sensitive to mild perturbations in my thyroid level, which is extremely annoying. (And more prone to motion sickness than I used to be, but I attribute that to the changes in my migraines.)

I've noticed that if my thyroid is a little off (my Cytomel is "take 2-3 tablets daily" and I guess wrong a lot), I get drunker than usual. Also insomnia.

Hm. I'll look into that - thanks!
