MLP: Pinkie So Excited

Bay Path and Lasell, both of which have rolling admissions; we don't expect to hear from most of the other schools til spring. Bay Path, which is in her top five, has offered her a $14K/year scholarship to start with - just based on her SATs. It's their second-highest tier of scholarship funding.

We are all verklempt over here.

Cool. So I guess that rules out all but four other schools as possibilities, since if she doesn't get an acceptance from one of her other top five, she'll pick Bay Path?

Unless one of them really changes her mind on an overnight visit.

Which are the remaining four?

Reminds me of ... When Brandeis accepted me, I had already gotten no's from MIT and Caltech, which were the only schools I'd have picked over Brandeis. I remember thinking about how there were four other schools I was applying to who hadn't answered yet, and now did I care what they said? Their answers would be kind of anticlimactic.

Wheaton, Brandeis, SmithWellesley (depends which day you ask her).

(Hey, do you ever do alumni admissions interviews for Brandeis?)

YAY!!!! Adding my congrats!!

I am also curious--what are the other picks? Does she have one she's really hoping for?

23rd-Dec-2012 03:15 am (UTC)
Wheaton is her #1, and Brandeis is a strong #2. Smith and Wellesley tie for third, and Mount Holyoke, Salem State, and Framingham State are all good to her too!
24th-Dec-2012 08:20 pm (UTC)
I am totally biased, but I am rooting for Mount Holyoke :).
