Happy Pi Day!

I may bake a pie. YOU NEVER KNOW.

I've been discovering so many new restaurant options within walking distance of the new house! Maximo's looks awesome for lunch. Deluxe Town Diner does some GF stuff. I stopped by Sofra today and was disappointed... when Adam e-mailed them, they claimed to have gluten-free options, but apparently for them that is one omelet. No.

We ended up at Uncommon Grounds - gluten-free granola French toast! They also had pancakes and bagels. :)

Alas, now that I am fed, I must bend myself to the task of readying my house for the parental invasion. *shudder* By 3pm, we must be Presentable. They'll be here through Monday. I'm hoping that after they leave and we're fully settled from the move, I'll be up to being more social; I haven't gotten out in forever!

But for now, cleaning and organizing!

Thanks for reminding me about Deluxe Town Diner, when I am out of work due to no power in my office, and I could go on a day it won't be packed ...
But I shouldn't.

Oh hey! Uncommon Grounds has improved, then, because when first I went there, they had *nothing*, and were rude! I haven't been back since!

I *love love love* Deluxe Town Diner!!! They've always been *awesome*.

That end of town? Super awesome! :D (I kinda miss Watertown ... as much as I *love* Natick...I still miss Watertown).

What does Deluxe have besides the johnnycakes?

Let them know that you're celiac/gluten intolerant - they'll work with you and cook your food separately. I've had pan fried potatoes, omelettes (I love omelettes), etc...and of course bacon - but generally, I *love* breakfast food - the important thing is that they know how to handle food in the case of gluten sensitivity.

I am considering baking a pie when I get home tonight, but had company yesterday and so will not have anyone to share it with.

I don't particularly acknowledge that other proposed holiday for this day because... yeah.

Aww, I'm sorry Sofra was a disappointment.

Good luck with the parental invasion!

Everything looked delicious! Just 100% gluten. I wish they'd said so via e-mail.

Most (where "most" = "at least two") people in Britian celebrate Pi day on the more culturally appropriate 22nd of July (aka 22/7).

Myself, I'll stick with the vastly more accurate Transatlantic Unified Pi Approximation Day, which is on the 18th of May.

(3.14 + 22/7)
----------------   =   3.1414285714285714285714285714286....

... which is accurate to within 0.0053%! =:o}
