State of the 'Song
Tired and slightly oogy, enough that I'll be looking up if last night's candy - all of which was listed as gluten-free - was produced on a line that also produces gluteny stuff.

Google Reader redesign: terrible decision, or worst decision?

I am very cranky about the loss of most of the functionality of Google Reader. I will be cranky about this for a while.

Elayna was a witch. She continues to appreciate that her home is different from most other homes, in that she can pull together a costume in ten seconds flat that includes a velvet and tulle ballgown, appropriately witchy layers for a cold Halloween, and is there by any chance a length of black tulle to dress up the hat? Yes? All right then. She was beautiful and elegant and got many compliments and a lot of candy. sindrian got his first real taste of a Gojirawitz Halloween - Elayna fully acknowledges that she will only eat a few handfuls of her candy, so we spread it all out and negotiate for piles of our favorites. sindrian, being the sole non-Elayna person without dietary restrictions, made out like a bandit. :)

BPAL Reviews
Elegy IX: The Autumnal: Red maplewood, plum leaves, fir needle, wildflower honey, patchouli, hazelnut, and green cognac.
In bottle: Woodsy and dark, a little starchy?
On me: Some sort of odd interaction here. Uck. The starchiness is very there, plus a weird sourness.

Pumpkin Princess: Bright, sweet pumpkin with vanilla fluff, guava, chocolate-dusted white amber, tiare, red currant, raw honey, and meringue.
In bottle: Total candy.
On me: Sweet, sweet, lickably sweet! With just a bit of tanginess from the currant.

A star with spiral arms!

Writing, hopefully getting out my sweaters, some office organization stuff. Accompanying a survivor speaker for her first speech tonight!

Elayna is very lucky. Glad to hear that y'all had fun. Ours was low-key. We ended up watching Rocky Horror and eating pumpkin pie. Which is not a bad way to end the day. Next year, though, big-time costume fun...
