Catching up a tiny bit

I've not been well physically... I think I've started to recover sleepwise, though. Last night I finally had more sleeping hours than waking, and I don't feel like a space cadet today. Progress!

Decent body news, at least for now: The GDx test I had today (for glaucoma, in case you don't feel like clicking through) came back okay. I have a thinning of nerve fibers in one place in my right eye and two in my left, close to each other, which is why I kept missing that quadrant in the visual field test. Everything else was within normal limits, though, so it's a "come back next year" thing. Since this was my first GDx test, this is the establishment of a baseline; this could be a new thing, the thinning, or I could've had it for fifteen years. We'll check again next year and see if it changes, but I don't have to be shaking in my boots right now.

Aside from that! I am having a domestic bliss. Last night sindrian cooked pork scaloppine while Adam wrote Publishers Weekly reviews, Elayna played a computer game, and I knitted. Have not felt this balanced in a while. Tonight, sindrian has improvised a gluten-free, soy-free stir fry sauce with red wine vinegar, brown sugar, Auntie Arwen's Garlic Insanity mix, ginger, and maybe something else. It is nomful. :) Also today he started his local bank account so he can get his Kickstarter project going.

You will be hearing all about the Kickstarter project. Oh yes. Basically, he wants THE POWER TO REVOLUTIONIZE THE WORLD, through CNC design and manufacturing, and you can help, but I'll let him tell you about that. I will tell you that you are going to crack the hell up when you see one of his sponsorship incentives. Brilliant. You'll want three. At least.

Also I had a Narrative Epiphany re: Shayara, yay.

I. Um. Have so much more to talk about. But I'm still not feeling 100%, and soon there will be stir fry and we'll watch Jeopardy and see if sindrian can keep up with me and Adam. (Elayna can't.) But yeah. Life is moving really fast, but things are mostly awesome, and when I catch up on sleep they will be even better.
