Happy birthday to onezumi!

Hello to new reader fangirl715!

State of the 'Song
Note to self: Next time you wake up at 3am, just get up and knit, especially if you're on a deadline with your knitting. Because clearly you are not getting back to sleep anyway, so at least get something accomplished.

* LC has posted this video of Mick Foley talking about his work to end sexual violence. "I don't think you win battles with your likely allies, I think you need some help from unlikely allies, too." (There are some problems with CNN's text. But.)
* How fucked is the T? (Check the Green Line!)
* You just have to watch this one, okay? It's short.

Scientists view a quantum jump in real time.

Work today takes the form of an offsite seminar. Which is near a yarn store. Which I will not go to. After that, writing. Still uncertain whether I'm going to Diesel; will depend on exhaustion levels and whether certain people have rehearsal.

The rest of my week is very evening-busy. I'm still looking for anyone interested in going to Rogue Burlesque with me tomorrow night. Thursday night I'm doing a survivor speaker gig (emergency fill-in), and I have the rest of the evening reserved for someone if she has need of me. Friday night I'm going to Madame Tullule's Grand Fiasco. This is the second week in a row of Busy Every Night. This makes me twitchy.

I always thought Hell would be an eternity of waiting at one of those above ground Commonwealth Ave. Green Line stops, in February, in the freezing rain.

And the train isn't even running because there's a branch on the tracks, but they can't be bothered to make an announcement, so you just stand there waiting, FOREVER.

*LAUGH* I was just going to say, "When is the Green Line ever not fucked??"

Good times, good times...

Heh. Now I'm having flashbacks to all the times it was faster to walk rather than wait for the C to come...

Gee, it's just like the Red Line in Washington, DC!

To be fair, the reason that site can't do the Green line is...
- All MBTA buses have GPS that transmits their location, and they release that through the open API
- MBTA trains do not, but the track system used by the "normal" trains on the red/blue/orange have a switching system that can tell you which section of track each train has crossed into, so the MBTA releases that date
- ... but the "trolley" type trains on the Green line and the Mattappan line don't have that

My nephew totally would have joined the Dark Side.

But I love it even MORE that it was a little girl. :)
