Happy early birthday to catrambo and kyburg, who advance a year over the weekend!
State of the 'Song
Marvellously content after spontaneous road trip yesterday. Sleepy, though.
No Link Soup
I was away from the internets for over 24 hours. I have 600something things in Google Reader and no time to read 'em. Roll your own link soup today, kids!
Cosmic gravitational lensing reveals ancient galaxies.
Wearing: Green V-neck sweater, jeans, Wyrding Studios jewelry.
Reading: Something for Nothing: Luck in America by Jackson Lears... and the new Charles de Lint, The Painted Boy, just arrived!
Writing: Argh I have not had time. I did do Cicatrix stuff earlier this week, the one time I had a fraction of time alone in the house. I need to find a place outside the house to go and write. Because I'm not allowed to type a full sentence when anyone else is here.
Knitting: Still bouncing back and forth: sindrian's cowl, Dad's scarf, and now my birthmom's scarf. None of them are challenging patterns, so I get bored and fitful. I need to buckle down, though - maybe I can finish the cowl today and Dad's scarf this weekend.
Planning: Today: Work. Adam's home today, so no writing; probably catching up on TV while knitting. Tonight is a party that I have to figure out how to get to.
Saturday: RootsCamp, an unconference for community organizers. Y'all. Progressive organizing. Social justice. Why do you not all want to come? Why is this not universally exciting? I feel so alone. *sheds single tear* Anyway, after RootsCamp, a party where I will plant myself in front of a fireplace for hours. Which turns into a sleepover date with feste_sylvain!
Sunday: Moar RootsCamp. No evening plans, but evening plans should probably be "curl up on the couch".
