You put the contents of the box in the firepit, and the notes go up first - they flare green as they ignite. Maybe they picked up some copper from pennies rattling around in there, some base metal from the ring. The paper goes up first, but everything goes.
There are other boxes. There are other things to shed. And Aaron helped you haul the bag up here, but he knows not to put anything in the fire himself. This is for you to do. You must do this, and only you can.
Because you have to let go. No one else can do this for you, and pick out the things that you don't need anymore, support structures you've grown out of, things that were bending you bonsai-like, unnatural. This is a thing that you need to do for yourself because if anyone else does it for you it doesn't mean a damn thing, it's just a different cage with a different key.
Everything goes in the fire. You stand a little too close so you can see it all burn.Phoenix!
