Odin's Day

Administration
Happy birthday to eugie!

Medical
Apparently Fentanyl + Versed = migraine. Started brewing last night, got worse overnight; when Adam was setting upon a sweater with packing tape for lint removal purposes this morning, every little movement of the bed sent stabby pain through my head. Took Excedrin at 6am, and the pain is still not *gone*, it's just faded to the point where I can move. Very slowly.

24 Hours
The "if you had me for 24 hours" meme is going 'round again. The overtly-sexual version of it is very individual, of course. The not-overtly-sexual one?

We would build a pillow fort. We would make coffee or tea or cocoa, and I'd find out which of my favorite movies you hadn't seen, and we would curl up in the fort and watch. Later, we'd roam Boston; I'd show you all of my favorite places. Or at least as many as time allowed. We would have dinner at Dali or Sabur or Savinos or someplace else where the food is so wonderful that I close my eyes when I eat it; I would take you for ice cream. I would read aloud to you (especially if you are enderfem). I would give you the far more detailed tour of my house, wherein I tell you why that particular little box is so wonderful and who painted that picture and the most perfect day I had with the person who gifted me that necklace. We would dance and sing and play. And make things. We would sleep in the pillow fort, curled around each other, if you like that sort of thing. (I do; I can never be held enough.)

My Year
2009 had some excellent points - my first, second, and third published short stories, giving the keynote speech at the Gala, getting off the Lyrica, meeting some of my new favorite people, getting ZOMG Job.

Everything else? Awful. 2009 did not happen, apart from the above; we shall not speak of it. Put it away and we shall begin again.

* I am so sending this to Elayna.

Daily Science
Invetech has delivered what it calls the "world's first production model 3D bio-printer" to Organovo, developers of the proprietary NovoGen bioprinting technology. Organovo will in turn supply the devices to institutions investigating human tissue repair and organ replacement.

Plans
I am still entirely wiped out and headachey. More rest.
