Hello to new reader amazon_lil!
Happy early birthday to malver and vurtsnake, who advance a year over the weekend!
Body's in recovery mode. Should be okay this weekend.
Today's exercise will be hauling heavy laundry baskets up and down three flights of stairs so I'll have underwear for this weekend.
Yay for Elayna!
Elayna's holy trinity of music = s00j,Tori Amos, and Idina Menzel. So far, the only one she hasn't seen live is Idina. And she's way into her - started with Wicked, and she has her solo album now and sang her songs at Explo's open mic...
The reason I'm this late posting this morning? I was wrestling with Ticketmaster. Mom let me use her AmEx, because apparently Idina's a hot ticket, and I didn't want to miss this. I stand ready to pay her back when I have money, but I'm hoping she'll offer to make it a gift to Elayna.
So. Yay Elayna. It's a surprise.:)
I'll be coming in tonight, with emilytheslayer and lynxreign. Please dress me up with your extra costume bits. Oh hai. :) fiannaharpar and shellefly have my cell phone number; if you feel that you ought to have it, e-mail me at shadesong AT gmail.com. (Note: I'm not a phone person, and really only have it on at cons and only use it to locate people/be located.)
Wind Tunnel Dreams
Made enough to get Elayna into her clubs and on her class trips. Phew. Next financial goal? Phew. Don't know. Lots of stuff. Shoes for my sister's wedding. The fabulous mask I'll be wearing tomorrow. Hotel room for SalonCon. Paying for my meds. This is my day job. We're a single-income household in one of the most expensive cities in the country. WTD is how we get by. Your coffee money adds up.
Remember, all of this week's WTD: Wire and Words jewelry goes on sale at 8:00 tonight - watch this page! And all sponsors get a coupon code good for one (1) pair of Large Fandom Collider earrings (or pendant if you can't wear earrings - tell Kyth) with your next WS purchase!

Scientists have developed nanometer-sized ‘cargo ships’ that can sail throughout the body via the bloodstream without immediate detection from the body’s immune radar system and ferry their cargo of anti-cancer drugs and markers into tumors that might otherwise go untreated or undetected.
Wearing: Sock monkey robe.
Reading: The Starry Rift, edited by Jonathan Strahan; The Lost Fleet: Valiant, by Jack Campbell.
Writing: WTD. Needing to work on Ondine, but I've been too content to dive into the mood of it, which is dark and dreamlike.
Planning: Today: Laundry, shower, WTD, pack for SalonCon, hit the library and the post office, work on Ondine in the remaining time... get picked up by Emily and Lynx, get mask, get to Jersey. Tomorrow/Sunday: SalonCon!
