hypnagogie says:
What are you posting?

Bits of autobiographical nonfiction that is written in a (hopefully) entertaining manner. Here's how it works:

You give me a prompt - a request for a certain event, or a line of poetry, or whatever your brain spits out at you, and I will take it and write a story that incorporates or is inspired by it. Autobiographical because I completely suck at writing fiction, and am only really good at writing about myself. Because I am Narcissus.

If you donate, I will consider myself duty-bound to use your prompt no matter what.

Who are you blogging for?

Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children, a nonprofit pediatric center specializing in the treatment of orthopedic conditions, neurological disorders and learning disorders.

Why?

When I was 13, I was diagnosed with severe scoliosis. My spine was so badly curved that, without surgery, my lungs would have ceased to be supported by my spine, and likely collapsed. TSRH was developing a new procedure for the treatment of scoliosis. They did this cutting-edge procedure for me at no cost to my family, and thereby saved, if not my life, my quality of life.

I stand straight today because of them. I owe.
