Happy last day of seventh grade, Elayna!
Midnight movie = not so smart. I spent all day yesterday dragged out. :( I seem to be back to new-normal.
Still no final word on the excellent news. I'll be poking at people if I don't have a reply by the end of the day. Need. To. Squee.
Have commitments from 38 artists - almost there! (dulcinbradbury, got yours on Saturday!)
We weren't sure about the cross-country train trip since Elayna decided to go for six weeks of Explo - instead of most of the summer, we'd only have August. We were still considering it, though.
Talked to Mom this weekend - she's coming up to visit in midAugust. So.No train trip this year.
Elayna's cool with this, as it means we will be spending a week on Cape Cod (more Woods Hole!) and will go on a whale watch. So the new plan is for us maybe to go to New York for a week (if we can couchsurf) before Mom's visit, and maybe do PiCon afterward.
Daily ScienceScientists claim they have cured advanced skin cancer for the first time using the patient's own cells cloned outside the body.
Fallen: Cherubic white sandalwood and golden musk with a dark halo of amber, a breath of imperial florals, unbending woods, and the shadow cast by vetiver and violet.
In bottle: Oh, I get the florals right away. :(
On me: Yeah. Vetiver and florals, but mostly florals.
Phantom: Myrrh, dark musk, attar of rose and ylang ylang.
In bottle: Oooh. Sweet dark musk, no floral.
On me: Yep. Just sweet and dark. Shame it's discontinued. :(
Hurricane: The Dark Side of Air: a high pitched, tangy, clear scent -- light China rain deepened by murky vetivert.
In bottle: Weird. Watery, but thanks to the vetiver, it's sort of a standing-water thing.
On me: Murky. An old pond.
Sea of Glass: A scent of inimitable purity, crystalline grace, and limitless light.
In bottle: Light... mildly citrusy.
On me: Yeah, definitely some citrus there.
The Usual, plus a BARCC meeting tonight.
