Doin' okay. Massages work wonders. Still very tired every day, but I'm still processing last week.
'Spoldey 'song is 'splodey.
I have several bits of tremendous good news that I can't talk about yet! *squees to self* *is frustrated that her squee must be muted* Will hopefully be able to post about one by the end of the day. Because dude.Life is good.
Hasn't happened again. Hopefully it was just a combination of startle factors overwhelming Max. I'll be keeping an eye on him.
* Song of the Day:"Toes", by the Wet Spots.
* Where ideas come from. Yeah, that's about right.
* Exploding lakes.
Dice-size crumbs of bright material have vanished from inside a trench where they were photographed by NASA's Phoenix Mars Lander four days ago, convincing scientists that the material was frozen water that vaporized after digging exposed it.
"It must be ice," said Phoenix Principal Investigator Peter Smith of the University of Arizona, Tucson. "These little clumps completely disappearing over the course of a few days, that is perfect evidence that it's ice. There had been some question whether the bright material was salt. Salt can't do that."
Brisingamen: The amber necklace of Freyja, Norse Goddess of Love, Sex, Attraction and Fruitfulness. Her magnificent necklace was bough from four Dwarves [Alfrik, Berling, Dvalin and Grer] at the price of four nights of her passion. When Brisingamen graces your throat, no man can resist your charms. A glittering mantle of rich golden notes: five ambers, soft myrtle and apple blossom, myrtle, and carnation.
In bottle: Myrtle and carnation.
On me: The amber is a soft foundation for the carnation and myrtle. I was hoping for less carnation. :(
Tushnamatay: Pure internal harmony and spiritual bliss: the perfected meditation blend.
In bottle: Light sandalwood.
On me: Very light and pretty.
Brimstone: In Hermetic alchemy, brimstone is one of the Three Heavenly Substances, one of the primary alchemical Priciples. It represents the strength of will and the vigor of passion, and it is a symbol of the process of fermentation. A smoky, gritty blend, husky and gray.
In bottle: Yep. That's smoky and gritty, all right.
On me: Rich and dark and smoky. I wouldn't wear this as a fragrance for myself, but I'll hang onto it - good for mood-setting when writing.
Pain: Wicked and vicious! A sharp, cruel blend of lavender and pennyroyal.
In bottle: Yum! Herbal-minty.
On me: Yep, this'll clear your sinuses. I like it, though.
Wearing: Green "learning never ends" tee and black yoga pants (going for a walk).
Reading: Company by Max Barry.
Writing: Got to go through the story-stack and figure out what to send where. So - editing. But also I'm falling back into Places You Haunt.
Nothing tonight, thank goodness.
Tomorrow, feste_sylvain and Elayna and I will go to SummersDay... then we'll drop Elayna off at home and go to Can't Stop the Serenity.
Sunday, the Arsenal Center for the Arts is having a Grand Opening for their Nature and Balance exhibition. This will include "Walking tours, art activities: bookmaking, fabric house portraits, and self portraits, live music, and improv theatre activities with Watertown Children's Theatre". Sounds like a good time. That's conditional upon my body being okay after SummersDay; I'm not sure how much activity that'll be.
