Hello to new readers babymonkey, katspaw156, lady_guenievre, and whyelaborate!

Pretty exhausted all day yesterday; went to bed around 9:30 and am henceforth up way too early.

I cleaned my office Saturday! Where cleaning also = finding a cheap cream-and-gold dresser on CraigsList, moving one of my bookcases, and installing said dresser by my desk to hold office supplies. (My desk has no drawers.) Reduces clutter and brightens the room-I no longer feel like I'm typing in a cave. Also gives me room to hang more art. ElfQuest or haikujaguar or Busted Wonder? I dooon't know.

Rape ritual
Will be responding to everyone's comments when I'm in safe headspace for it. *nod*

Writing Group
lightcastle and eustaciavye and I have been kicking around the idea of a writing group for ages. We need to get off our asses. I'm free the weekend after this one. Who's interested?

Daily Science
If a black hole eats a book, what happens to the information? The latest work from a team of physicists says that in the distant future, the black hole eventually spits out the book's full contents. Even a black hole can't destroy information.

Daily BPAL
Update like whoa. *boggles*

So let's catch up on Steampunks.

The Antikythera Mechanism: Teakwood, oak, black vanilla, and tobacco.
In bottle: Woods and black vanilla.
On me: The vanilla gets sweeter. Stillnot getting much in the way of tobacco - but it's yummy.

The Coil: Ozone, eucalyptus and mint with purple orchid, passionflower, white ginger, and purple lotus.
In bottle: Sinus-clearing ozone and eucalyptus, tempered with mint.
On me: See above. The floral come out, but not enough to drown the rest.

Galvanic Goggles: Metallic notes with Indian musk, tobacco flower, and African balsam.
In bottle: Indian musk all the way!
On me: Maybe some metal way at the back, but the musk dominates. Ah, there's the balsam.

No.93 Engine: Balm of Gilead, benzoin, frankincense, balsam of peru, beeswax, saffron, galbanum, calamus, hyssop, mastic, lemon balm, and white sage.
In bottle: The benzoin blocks the saffron, which waves from the background.
On me: Mmm. Balsam, galbanum, beeswax, and saffron.

One more post before getting down to work. Review, critique (three days til WisCon travel!), walk to library and CVS, and do book planning.
