Okay today. Still worn out. It occurred to me again last night that I no longer know how to fall asleep. "Falling asleep" has been redefined as "take five pills and wait for unconsciousness to grab you and throw you down".
Massage today, which should help the achy bits.
New front page and new notebook. Settle in - we'll be with Katrianna for a little while.
(Sorry it went up late. Note to self: no breakfast dates on Tuesday and Thursdays!)
* More on the "1,000 True Fans" theory.
* "Starting next year, survivors of sexual assault will be able to undergo anonymous rape kits." Yay! This is a pretty significant victory. This means less pressure to press charges - when someone's just been raped, they're terrified, in shock, not exactly wanting to make legal decisions. This lets them get the help and decide later. (See my rape kit experience here.)
* I want several of these shirts.
* The worst supervillain names in comics.
Astronomers have discovered traces of a star that went supernova about 140 years ago, around the time of the U.S. Civil War and the publication of Charles Darwin's The Origin of Species. The expanding debris cloud, or remnant, known as G1.9+0.3, lies near the center of the Milky Way, about 25,000 light-years from Earth.
Besides making G1.9+0.3 the youngest supernova remnant known in our galaxy, the finding begins to fill a peculiar astronomical gap. Based on studies of other galaxies, researchers estimate that about three supernovae should pop off per century in the Milky Way. They knew of one recent remnant, Cassiopeia A, which went supernova around 1680.
I am mildly frustrated - my steampunk imps and my Dragon Moon/Gaiman decants all came yesterday, and I did not have time to try any of them on! I'm typing this from the library. With a breakfast thing in Watertown Square and my massage appointment at 1 just a block away, it doesn't make sense to walk back home and then back up here. *nod*
Massage! And we have tickets to a prescreening of Prince Caspian tonight. In between? Goal is to do WisCon manuscripts.*nod* Wish me luck in staying on task!
