Am home safely; the cats have had the expected reactions:
Jack: *bounce* *bounce* "Oh hai! I rearranged ur furniture!"
Victoria: "Oh, were you gone?"
catvalente, got the Orphan's Tales jewels (ktempest, got a leftover story card you could send me to go with St. Sigrid's Prayer?); dark_blade and habiliments, got the BPAL; belgatherial, got the book* and CD*; caulay and ahf, got the Museum of Science renewal (squee!); jasra, got the card***; yay, thanks, all! :)
Also, I got a mystery penguin. o.O No return address. Just a label with my name and address and the notation, in small even handwriting: "PENGUIN". :)
I have unpacked. Stuff is in the laundry; stuff is squared away. Soon I shall curl up with a book. Later, I shall write about the trip. A lot to muse on this time...
* Pandora's Closet, with stories by lmarley and kradical!
** Thus proving that I can't not dance to Third Eye Blind's "Semi-Charmed Life". Nor can I, travel-sore as I am, resist doing the "drop it like it's hot" butt-maneuver to the line "the boom anime babes that make me think the wrong thing" in BNL's "One Week". There are some bits of some songs that require stripper maneuvers, no matter how weary the listener may be. Perfect pole-drop moment in the Beastie Boys/Dandy Warhols mashup "Intergalactic Friends", for example. Which may be TMI. Jax, thank you. :)
*** I am amused that mail addressed "To the house of 'song" gets here with no problems. Likewise "Story", "Shadesong", and "House Gojirawitz". Our postman is like so whatever, to use the common parlance.
