Hello to new reader sstrickl!
Happy early birthday to hmark42 and marajs, who both advance a year over the weekend!
Pain level: Surprisingly decent, for all the travel and activity yesterday. I did get a nap, though.
Allergies are being evil, though.
Some changes have been so drastic that I can't map them on my internally-generated picture of Woods Hole - new buildings and whatnot. But for the most part, walking down Main Street... I was pointing things out to Elayna that I hadn't seen in 21 years, but instantly recognized. "Look! There's where I taught art!" "The library!" "That restaurant!"
We want to have a beach day and a walking around Woods Hole day and a walking around Falmouth day. Happily, we happen to have three available days.
Not since the days of dialup have I had a connection so slow and so intermittent. Do not expect to see me online.
A miracle material for the 21st century could protect your home against bomb blasts, mop up oil spillages and even help man to fly to Mars. Aerogel, one of the world’s lightest solids, can withstand a direct blast of 1kg of dynamite and protect against heat from a blowtorch at more than 1,300C.
