Thor's Day
Administration
Happy birthday to the magnificent
asim and the much-missed
tsarinanic!
Medical
Doing pretty well today. :) Feet are problematic, and shoulders/upper back a bit tight, but - pretty good.
*happy sigh*
I love my love life. *happy sigh*
Daily Science
n 8-million-year-old bacterium that was extracted from the oldest known ice on Earth is now growing in a laboratory, claim researchers.
If confirmed, this means ancient bacteria and viruses will come back to life as ice melts due to global warming.
Daily BPAL
Alice: Curiouser and curiouser. Milk and honey with rose, carnation and bergamot.
In bottle: That honey's gone bad.
On me: Curdled yuck. Florals peek through. Not my style.
Tempest: A crisp ozone-tinged breeze. The scent of the first gentle rain before the storm.
In bottle: Oooooh, yes. Very much as described.
On me: The tingle in the air right before the rain starts.
Siren: Bewitching, tantalizing and dangerously seductive. A thrilling, exotic blend -- deceptively sweet, but spiked with malice. White ginger, jasmine, and a touch of vanilla.
In bottle: Jasmine tempered with ginger.
On me: The vanilla poked out, but it's mixed with too much weirdness for my taste. Hm. Now vanilla + ginger. I fear the jasmine. Might hang onto this for now.
Midnight: An ethereal bouquet of night-blooming flowers. Evening primrose, ruellia, flowering nicotiana, wild petunia, panani-o-kai, night phlox, night gladiolus, moonflower and the elusive scent of Nottingham Catchfly.
In bottle: Floral, with an unexpected thick sweetness.
On me: Nectar. Huh. I wonder what's doing this? Rather intoxicating.
Plans
Pack up all the BPAL swaps/sales, and my Switch Witch box. I don't know if I'll get to the post office today. I just got home, you see. So. There will be packing and showering, and we shall see.
Date tonight. *swoon*
