It occurred to me that I don't know if I've ever said this here. So before I toddle off to bed...

At dinner with Adam and feste_sylvain, I mentioned my Vegas Trilogy. Yes, there are three books, connected only in that they're all viewed through my lens.

Book #1: Walking on Water. Bare facts, stripped down to the core.
Book #2: placesyouhaunt. All of the metaphysical elements stripped from Walking on Water, dialed up to 11 and viewed as a Scottish ballad gone wrong.

And Book #3... was actually Book #2 before placesyouhaunt became Book #2. In some ways it still is - it was what PYH was before it because The Tam Lin Retelling, and it occupies a space between PYH and the autobiography on the fantasy/reality spectrum.

In some ways, it's definitely Book #3... because it actually grants closure. It's about closure. So. One book is about what happened. One's about me trying to get a grip on what happened, using an established framework. One's about me laying it to rest.

Some people do therapy after massive life events/trauma. I write books. Hi.

Bed now.
