My knees are freakin' killing me. My feet, too. This is from all the running around last night, I'm sure.
My today-flight is still listed as being on time. Huzzah!
The flight I was scheduled on last night? That was supposed to land at 11 PM? Landed at 6:40 AM. Dude. I am so glad I got on this flight. Being up 24 hours, plus the pressure changes and the muscle-stiffening and pain of being in an airplane seat for that long? Would've done me in for weeks.
I am flying business class this morning. *preen*
Okay, seriously, were I allowed an unlimited decorating budget, the house would be morphing weekly. But look, you guys!
* Pushpin lamp. Multipurpose! And I need more light in my office!
* Melting clocks, a la Dali. Customizable!
* When they said "Transforming Trey",my mind went other places. But it's a chair. and it's really cool.

Your organics may not be so organic.
The USDA has announced a controversial proposal, with absolutely no input from consumers, to allow 38 new non-organic ingredients in products bearing the "USDA Organic" seal. Most of the ingredients are food colorings derived from plants that are supposedly not "commercially available" in organic form. But several of the proposed ingredients, backed by beer giant Anheuser-Busch, and pork and food processors, represent a serious threat to organic standards</i>
A popular theory on how HIV attacks the body's immune system is wrong, a new study has found. Scientists have long believed that HIV causes the slow depletion of healthy white blood cells—the T cells which recognize infections so the body can fight them off—by causing infected T cells to produce virus particles before dying. This ongoing cycle of infection, HIV production, reinfection and cell destruction has been called the "runaway" hypothesis. But if this were so, the T cells would be killed off far too quickly, the researchers found.
