Happy birthday to ewin, gentleeleos, and scarletjezebel!
Hello to new reader garyj97!
Yep, my feet are still being really difficult. Legs, too. Long discussion last night, kinkwise, about where I can be hit, and how hard... and how this varies on a daily basis. Thankfully, he can go with this. We're going to devise a system of signals for stuff like "stop hitting me there - move to a place with more fat padding!", "stop hitting me comma NOW comma exclamation point", "look! a moose!", and other useful things.
In the ancient Gnostic Gospel of Philip, discovered in Egypt last century, the author writes of the relationship between Jesus and Mary Magdalene. In one place, he says, "Jesus often kissed Mary on the . . . ." Unfortunately, there's a hole in the original document right where that next word was. Did Jesus kiss her on the cheek? The mouth? The neck? Unless other versions of the old text are found, we'll never know. On the other hand, I predict that you will soon solve a comparable mystery in your own love life. Some gap that has long mystified you will be filled in. A missing clue will turn up.
Well, it's about time.
Mind you, clues have *been* turning up. Nothing like getting a lot of what's not quite right to help you figure out what you need.
Your Daily Chance to Do Good!
fandom_gives came about as an irony in the wake of Strikethrough '07: What if Livejournal fandom turned the tables around? What if everyone who vowed not to renew their paid account, everyone who swore to give LJ and SixApart no more financial support in the form of extra userpics, or virtual gifts, or more storage - what if all those people took that money and instead donated it to charities for the prevention of child abuse and sexual assault?
And so the idea was born: a fandom drive to collect funds for RAINN, the Rape, Abuse, and Incest National Network, which has been called one of America's Top 100 charities - which then expanded to include a number of the USA and UK's foremost child-protection charities.
This drive is Fandom Gives: Strikeback. Two weeks of intense pimping, and intense donating, commencing at 00:01am EST, June 2nd 2007 and ending at 11:59pm EST, June 15th.
You know RAINN is the charity closest to my heart. And I find this to be wildly appropriate. So yes. Pissed at LJ accusing you or your friends of sexual assault based on your interest list? Give the money you would've given to them to RAINN. And then go tell them about it.
* In the department of Not My Kink: Dance Dance Immolation.
* Hey, LUSH fans! They're bringing back their discontinued greatest hits! (I have a LUSH store right near me, so if anyone wants me to make a run for them, or for their switch-witchee, I can totally do that; unlike LUSH, I'll charge actual shipping.)
* A Visual Guide to 15 Healthy Snacks. I maintain that a big part of the American weight problem is that we don't know what "one portion" looks like anymore; restaurants serve us the equivalent of two or three, and we clean our plates because that's what we were trained to do.
In a big step toward a long-sought goal, three teams of scientists say they’ve produced the equivalent of embryonic stem cells, at least in mice, without taking the controversial step of destroying embryos.

In bottle: Very... sour.
On me: Goes to dragon's blood, but still with the sourness in the background. Dragon's blood, bit of wood, bit of spice.
