Hello to new reader purrv23!
Got eight hours of sleep last night. That's the most I've gotten all year, I think. Go team me! Still dealing with a lot of pain, though it's not as bad this morning as it was yesterday, when it was literally driving me to distraction.
* Continue getting my office back in shape
* Make necessary phone calls
* Find lawyer to handle disability case
* Re-organize hall closet
* Buy more envelopes to pack remaining BPAL swaps/sales
* Mail BPAL swaps/sales and return books to the library, if I have a ride
* Elayna's eye doctor appointment, if I have a ride.
(Adam did not shovel snow (neck pain), and my body won't allow it, so our car is snowed in again. If I can't get a ride, I'll have to reschedule her appointment. I can mail stuff and return *some* books to the library, but not all - the stack's too big for me to manage. Have pinged two car-enabled and possibly-free-in-daytime people re: ride possibility.)
I've got to get back on track, now that I have a few mostly-clear weeks. Got to figure out a reasonable schedule and stick to it.
Not only is ayalanya selling her beautiful work on eBay (ending today! hurry!), she's clearing out her BPAL cupboards, and has some rarities at excellent prices. Please to go look!
Interspecies sex like whoa.
Yes, I have more BPAL to sample, thanks to my spring swap person (yay!), but I'm still working on the Arcana Soaps decants.
Filthy Viking: Between the sea voyages and the pillaging, it must have been difficult for Odin’s henchmen to stay fresh. Too bad they didn’t have this ferocious blend of scents from the Viking world: bracing Norwegian juniper, frigid Icelandic mint and the hardy wood of a longship.
In bottle: Yep. Juniper and mint. They blend nicely!
On me: Still juniper and mint, mingling happily. This will be a great summer scent - it's icy cool! *Lots* of throw.
The Last Hours of Empires: A rich blend of precious oils, evocative of regret and resplendence, featuring highest quality Omani frankincense, true Indian sandalwood, delicate top notes of bergamot and tangerine, and the smallest wisp of black patchouli.
In bottle: Sandalwood and something darker.
On me: A crate of tangerines.
Mutiny: Tyrants be damned! The scent of discontent, broken ranks and open rebellion on the sea. Indonesian patchouli combines with black pepper, dark wood and a smoky haze of gunpowder.
In bottle: All dark patchouli. Why are pirate scents all patchouli? BPAL ones, too. Who decided that pirates smell like a head shop?
On me: Oh, there's some pepper and gunpowder. And the wood. This is kinda neat, in a scent-picture way.
Shambhala: Somewhere high in the Himalayas, a mystical kingdom is said to be hidden, accessible only on rare occasions to a fortunate few. Enjoy a touch of Shambhala's magic with this harmony of sandalwood, Himalayan cedarwood and a dash of spun honey.
In bottle: Dude. Wood and honey.
On me: This is lovely Dark wooden cabinets and sweetness in the air.
