Administration
Happy early birthday to badlittlemonkey, museumfreak, and tidesong, who all advance a year over the weekend!

Medical
Finally got to bed at 4 AM, waking up at 8 and then again at 9. Achy. Bleh.

Daily Science
Particles spewed from Saturn's moon Enceladus are sandblasting neighbouring moons, leaving them sparklingly bright, a new study reveals. If life exists beneath the surface of Enceladus, these particles might be spreading it to other moons, scientists say.

Daily BPAL

HABU: Snake Oil with ho wood, teak, black musk, and bamboo.

In bottle: There's a surprising sweetness to this.

On me: A sweetness that I can't pinpoint, can't attribute to the listed ingredients. Huh.

KING COBRA: Snake Oil with orris, frankincense, and copal.

In bottle: Yep. That's frankincense.

On me: The copal comes out, gives this more of a base. Gets stinky. :P

SAW-SCALED VIPER: Snake Oil with cinnamon, cassia, and red ginger.

In bottle: Cinnamon, with a *woodiness*.

On me: The woodiness. Is that cassia? It smells like something rotting!

TEMPLE VIPER: Snake Oil with sugar cane, frankincense, champaca, opoponax, labdanum, and hyssop.

In bottle: Weirdly syrupy.

On me: It... disappears. I'm left with a trace of labdanum, if I sniff really hard.

Friday Memeage!
Wearing
White long-sleeved nightgown.

Reading
Firebirds Rising, norilana's Salt of the Air, and a stack of magazines. Depends where in the house I am, and what's to hand.

Writing
The big master outline for the comic. I've gotten to Where Our Story Begins; if I can get through outlining Act I today, I'll be happy. It's sort of a tedious task, because I'm just jotting down stuff I already know, not exploring it. But it's important, because I don't want to get to Act II and realize that I forgot to tell you about Pivotal Event in Act I Without Which The Series Falls To Pieces. There's the risk of inadvertantly skipping something due to subconsciously assuming that since *I* know it, so do you.

FYI? I freakin' love writing comics; the visual medium gives me so many more tools in my toolbox, and I have a gifted enough artist to use 'em all. :) m0usegrrl rocks. She just has an intuitive grasp of these characters, this world.

Planning
Psinging tonight with ayalanya, kires,wired_lizard, and yunatwilight.
Saturday: Well, there's the Lush event, there's the Warm Foods Party, there's potential stuff with Alanya and Kires - and there's the fact that I have been low on sleep and energy this week, so we'll see how tonight goes.
Sunday: Hot-tubbing with liamstliam, alethea_eastrid, and 3/4 of the Cauldron. Possibly another person. After that, Meet & Sniff at my place.
