Yep, sleep helped. And stretching. (I need to check out the local yoga place.) Pain yesterday was mild to moderate. This morning, it's mild.
I'm a hothouse flower, really I am, so I have no idea how to dress for a real winter. Thanks to all who had suggestions for beating The Cold! Clearly, I must go shopping.
She's settling into school admirably - excellent grade on the math test she had to take on her very first day, good social adaptation (was invited to sit with a group of girls on her first day, and sits with them still; joined an after-school club; etc.). And we've just registered her for soccer. So. Yay Elayna!

In a controversial study, researchers have resurrected a retrovirus that infected our ancestors millions of years ago and now sits frozen in the human genome.
Samhain: Truly the scent of autumn itself -- damp woods, fir needle, and black patchouli with the gentlest touches of warm pumpkin, clove, nutmeg, allspice, sweet red apple and mullein.
In bottle: Pumpkin, and autumn air through a forest.
On me: This is pumpkiny with a touch of fir. The spices are in the background, as is the patchouli. Mmm, now the forest comes out, with the pumpkin fading to the background and the apple rising. This is yummy. :)
Devil's Night: This is the scent of autumn night, fires in the distance, with a touch of boozy swoon, playful sugar and thuggish musk.
In bottle: Booziness, yep.
On me: Drink and smoke and musk, yes. :) shay_85 (who needs to undelete, dammit!) sent me a frimp of last year's; this is much the same. I like. :)
Pumpkin Queen: The Glorious Grand Dame of the Pumpkin Patch! Regal Egyptian Amber, red ginger, orange peel, mandarin, cardamom, fig leaf and warm pumpkin.
In bottle: Uh-oh. Orange in the pumpkin.
On me: Something artificial. Then the orange. Yep. Just the orange. This is not something I can wear. :( Elayna likes it, so I'm not sure yet if I'm swapping it away. Need to find a good GC citrus for her.
I ordered decants of the rest of the Halloweenies and the Order of the Dragon; hopefully they'll get here soon, as those scents are only up til the end of the month. *fret*
NonBPALers, a quick FAQ:
Imp = sample vial
Decant = an imp decanted by someone not at the Lab. Usually a limited-edition scient, as the Lab doesn't sell imps for those.
LE = Limited Edition
GC = General Catalog - a permanent scent.
