In the bottle: Woo, that's crisp. Yep. Trees. Bit of juniper up in there.
On me: More than just a bit of juniper. Yep, that's pretty much all juniper, all the time. Not that juniper's a bad thing - it's a lovely scent in the woods. But I do not feel the need to smell like juniper myself. Heh. I could mix this with Mantis and create eau de Wilderness Survival Camp. I could dab it on the necklace made of juniper seeds that I have from said camp. But it is not me, perfume-wise. It is a very nice scent, though. Hm. I may hang onto it and test it again later.
Nuit: ...dazzling white musks, white rose and night-blooming jasmine with the soft moss of moonlit meadows, a waft of Egyptian incense, and a gentle breath of moonflower.
In the bottle: Uh-oh. That chemical waft of BPAL rose.
On me: Eurgh. Yep. BPAL rose acts very predictably with my skin. I will choose to look at the bright side: this will save me money by eliminating everything in their catalog that has rose in it. And... yeah. That chemical hell is all I'm getting. Definitely up for swap.
And that's all I had left to test! solcita (Jack, London and Wrath), storme (Old Scratch), and Spooky (Follow Me Boy), you'll be getting imps as soon as I get padded envelopes. Anyone else want to swap? Imp up for swap = Black Dahlia.
Claimed: Cairo (ayalanya), The Great Sword of War (bheansidhe), Jazz Funeral (enderfem), Nuit (setfiretolife), and Rapture (setfiretolife).
What I Have Learned (science is fun!): My skin hates BPAL rose and pumpkin (sad!) with a screaming passion. However, it loves other foody-type scents (the plum in Blood Countess, the apple in Empyrean Mist, the honey in White Rabbit) and some of the other florals/plants (the honeysuckle in Chimera, the sage in Mantis). Some scents are unpredictable: the cinnamon in Wrath = red-hots on me, but the cinnamon in Chimera is Just Right.
