From my aunt-in-law's mother: Big fleecy blanket much like the one that's already her favorite. Good - she'll need more blankets for Boston!
From my aunt-in-law's brother and sister-in-law: Apples to Apples. The sister-in-law was flustered at the duplication; I reassured her that what that meant was that her gift idea was really, really good!
From my birthmom's second cousing: $25 Barnes & Noble giftcard
I got Lady Cottington's Pressed Fairy Letters, Killing Yourself To Live by Chuck Klosterman, The Essential Hip Mama, Perfect Health: The Complete Mind/Body Guide by Deepak Chopra, a very pretty rutilated quartz pendulum in a green silk pouch, a very pretty charm pin - like a kilt pin with reallyshinybits hangin' on it - and a nice thick brown hooded cardigan, and Cucumber Heel Therapy. And Adam and I got a bag full of chocolatey goodies to share.
Adam got the Val Lewton DVD gift set, Worldwired by Elizabeth Bear, a Fossil wallet, Where the Sidewalk Ends (movie, not book), and The Simpsons: One Step Beyond Forever.
And again I say "whew."
I'm too brain-tired right now to figure out how to transport all of this; some of Elayna's stuff will go down to South FL with her, some we'll cart back up, some will be shipped back up. We'll decide in the morning. We'll need her help for it, and she's busy making high-bounce balls. Which really is her priority right now, anyway. Still Christmas.
My brain is tired. I think I'll be going to sleep same time as she does tonight. I got a nap today, but it's been so hectic a week/end that I'm running on an incredible spoon deficit. I very visibly almost fell asleep at the dinner table last night. Coffee was administered with due diligence...
This week, while she's in South FL, I'm not just looking forward to seeing R-rated movies... I'm looking forward to being able to lie down and nap as soon as I get home from work.
And then I'm off to see Spooky on Thursday! But that's a lower-activity, lower-impact trip. Spooky worries that she won't be high-activity enough for me. Oh, honey - a loaf of bread, a jug of wine, and thou. And a warm blanket, actually. Cold up there.
Rambling into the dark again...
G'night, y'all. *hugs* :)
