When we got home, Mom opened the fridge door and started tsking. "Where are you going to put all this?" We engaged in serious Fridge Tetris to squeeze in the carrots, the asparagus. And she said, "How on earth are you going to fit the turkey in here?"
And I'm thinking about that this morning.
And... that is one of the things I'm thankful for.
Years ago, in Vegas, I dumpster-dived at Pizza Hut for food. I ate ketchup sandwiches, dude.
But I walked away and I built a life, and now my fridge is so packed with food that it's hard to find room for the bag of carrots.
There are so many people who do not have enough food.
I am thankful that my refrigerator is full.
..that's all for now.
