It is a slow day. Lo, I give you a high-school survey.

I wasn't in high school much - I did ninth grade, but I was in the junior looney bin and then the wilderness survival camp during most of tenth and all of eleventh grade. I spent my senior year in a group home in a tiny town in Utah. So that's what I'm basing the survey on.

What year was it?

What were your favorite clothes?
Actually, my favorite outfit was jeans, a men's white Oxford shirt, and a men's grey vest.

What was up with your hair?
Purple. And cut diagonally. Shaved to stubble at my right temple, spiraling down to swing over my left shoulder.

Who were your best friends?
The only one on LJ is bahtswana. There was a bunch of us that all hung out together, but I was closest to bahtswana and Jared.

Where did you work?
A thrift shop that benefitted the local animal sanctuary.

What did you do after school?
I was living at the group home, so I pretty much had to report home straightaway. :(

Did you take the bus?
Nope. Town was so small that it didn't have buses. I walked. Yes, even in the snow.

Who did you have a crush on?
Javen. Javen was a fellow drama geek - and a drummer. Mmmm, drummer. :)

Did you fight with your parents?
Well, they weren't actually there to fight with! And I didn't talk to them very frequently.

Who did you have a celebrity crush on?
Oh, Johnny Depp, just like always.

Did you smoke cigarettes?
Nope. Did other stuff. But I've actually never-ever smoked a cigarette.

Did you lug all your books around in your backpack because you were too nervous to find your locker?
Uh, no.

Did you have a "clique"?
Yeah. We weren't exclusionary. It's just that, in Southern Utah, most of the kids were cowboys, hicks, jocks. So there were about ten of us in the entire school who weren't, and we all hung out on the back stairs.

Did you have a "The Max" like Zach, Kelly, and Slater?

Admit it, were you popular?
Just among the freaks. :) And a bunch of freshmen and sophomores who wanted to grow up and be Just Like Us. I got votes for homecoming queen.

Who did you want to be just like?
Don't know! There must have been someone, but I don't remember. No one in that school, mind.

What did you want to be when you grew up?
A writer.

Where did you think you'd be at the age you are now?
Honestly? Dead. I didn't think I'd hit 21.

Almost succeeded. And then I got pregnant...
