Bought new books for the family, as everyone must have a new book when flying somewhere. It's the law.
Laundry laundry laundry.
I managed to find enough suitable clothing. Yes, this is difficult. And Adam's mom may have a problem with me wearing jeans to meet with the rabbi, but I do not have slacks that fit, and it is a wonder beyond wonders that I found a dress and a skirt-set that fit for the rehearsal dinner and the brunch. The rest of the time, I'm wearing Nice Shirts and jeans.
And I'm bringing the piggie socks. And some monkey socks.
I have found that making playlists on iTunes wakes me up when my ass is draggin'. I now have playlists for the Council and for Fenris, Julia, Katrianna, Kieran, and Capri. It's nice mental exercise, realizing what they'd like. Gives a little more shape to the character, IMO.
Doing playlists because I am bringing Polyhymnia and plan to write. I have the beginnings of a story in my head - Alanna as a small child. Yes, phantom_wolfboy, you may squee now. :P
Still shleepy. My brain is sorta going in and out. But I wish to brag: With 6 days' worth of clothes and two pairs of shoes, my stuff can still fit into one wee suitcase of the sort that fits in the overhead bin. I'm pretty certain that the dresses would fit in there as well, but they're in the garment bag with Adam's suits.
I pack well.
And I have accomplished this feat, the being-packed, solely because I took a half-day today. There's no way in hell I could've done this in the tiny slice of time between work and utter collapse. This way, I've been fending off collapse all day by switching tasks, taking a walk, doing playlists, etc. If I sit down without mental activity like the playlist-making, that'll be it for me, I ga-run-tee it.
I've been quoting House of Pain all day.
And my brain is wandery, so I shall stop rambling.
