Not entirely well, but well enough to go back to work. Hope the severe cold doesn't trash my lungs...

ARGH.
So speaking of that severe cold. With windchill, it is 20 below up here. 20 BELOW. Elayna is appropriately bundled in layers, but we do not have sufficient layers for 20 BELOW ZERO. And the car's still snowed in and anyway, Adam's got early meetings, so he can't drive her. So we called a cab, scheduled for 7:15, to get her to school.

I came downstairs at 8 to the sound of my daughter crying in frustration.

Cab never came.

This is the same cab company that made Adam and Elayna late to Arisia. Adam wrote a Yelp review. Please do feel free to go thumbs-up it, and never, ever use Watertown Taxi.

(They finally showed up at 8:30. Way after school started. After Adam called them and they lied to him again.)

* The 8 most awkward sexual moments in comic book history. Dude, the Iron Man one really is a perfect representation of the cycle of domestic violence.
* What I love about this is not just hey, games at the bus stop! I love that it says "Sir/Ma'am/Other".
* Microaggressions. Just read. Especially if you have privilege.
* I kinda really want this. Just not the Colossal size.
* Also, I love these aprons. But I have a Thing for aprons anyway.
* New Colleen Coover comic!
* The Awesome Foundation is awesome. Anyone interested in doing this on a smaller scale?

Daily Science
About 250 million years about 95 per cent of life was wiped out in the sea and 70 per cent on land. Researchers at the University of Calgary believe they have discovered evidence to support massive volcanic eruptions burnt significant volumes of coal, producing ash clouds that had broad impact on global oceans.

Permian extinction! Permian extinction!

Also, new Symphony of Science.

A knitting question!

Knitters! A question for you!

I want to make this cardigan.

Sizing is as follows: XS (S, M, L, XL) to fit bust sizes 34 (39, 44, 49, 54) inches.

**narrows eyes**

Those are mostly not regular band sizes. So ought I to be measuring around my widest bits, not my band size? I'm a 32D, so there's a significant enough difference that I'm not going "oh, 34" automatically.

Please help because it is so pretty and if I spend all that time making it and it's the wrong size I shall weep.
