Happy early birthday to dark_blade, faelad, jaded_dreamer, kylakae, and theicequeen, who advance a year over the weekend!

Hello to new reader xhollydayx!

Bouncing back from my tired/itchy.

I... am spending an awful lot of time in priestess mode this week. Which is fine. I like being useful. But it's a mental shift.

BPAL Question
For people who actually visit the forum - anyone know when Yules/Anniversaries come down? I need to test my decants and see if I Need anything other than Ded Moroz!

Friday Memeage!
Wearing: Black sparkly shirt, jeans, dark blue cowlneck sweater.
Reading: Blood Groove - Alex Bledsoe. Just finished Iorich by Steven Brust, wherein, Vlad Taltos goes to a yarn store, no I am not kidding, and I am still geeking out.
Writing: Zero this week. :( Too tired Wednesday, thanks to possible gluten reaction, and I sent yesterday afternoon having an important conversation devolving into a much-needed silly conversation. I will get better. I just need to find my balance.
Knitting: Still the baby blanket, and that will be so for a bit. This is a nice easy knit, a good project to jump on after ZOMG lace shawl.
Planning: Today is work, then hanging out with mangosteen. Tomorrow I may hit a small knitting group. Sunday I'm meeting with my BARCC blog team to do actual concrete planning. Otherwise I'm leaving the weekend unplanned; I need flexible chill time. Arisia madness begins in just a few days.

(no subject)

The thing with doing what I do is that when I have a really bad day, I can't really tell you about it. I can tell you that the day was really bad, but I feel like laying out there any sort of explanation is a breach of confidentiality.

So let us just say that it was a bad day, with one particular call that rattled the whole office. (No, I'm not on hotline, but sometimes people call the office instead of the hotline, so we do get calls from people in crisis.) Yesterday, too.

I am very fortunate in my friends. My BARCC friend D. pulled me out of yesterday's tailspin and had be laughing via Gchat by the time he had to leave work. mangosteen hauled me out of today's. I am thankful.

I need to find balance so I won't require rescue. Thankful as I am that rescue is available, I need to not *need* it on a regular basis.

And yes, I still totally love my job. It is awesome. I am Getting Stuff Done, and today I put the finishing touches on the volunteer training that starts tomorrow. Big project conquered. 10 points to Ravenclaw!
And more musing tomorrow when I'm not about to fall asleep.
