Thor's Day

Medical
Better now than last night, though exhausted; awakened early by some asshole honking his horn. A lot.

WTD
Highest "bid" on the Large Fandom Collider uberpendant is $66.67! I'll take sponsorships toward that through 5 PM EST today.

This was a good month for WTD, creatively (I loved working with Kyth, and I feel energized, not drained!), and financially (paid for Elayna's after-school clubs and trips, my mask, and assorted other stuff, and I'll have some money to send to blackpaladin for my corset).

The next WTD will be one week long, 'round Halloween.

Shayara
So here's an idea. Shayara by subscription.

I'm already planning to write Act One out in its entirety and send it out for art; it will not see the website til it's arted.

But.

Maybe I could do a subscription-based chapter-a-week thing. $10 a month or so. That would start when Act One is done, so I could be assured of not having an off week and skipping/losing my stride. This would be a sneak peek; you'd get to read the story a few months early. Also there could be numerous other perks.

Would anyone be interested in that?

Reacclimating
I'll basically be spending my whole day cleaning. This house falls into massive disorder when I'm not around. Cleaning and unpacking and decompressing.

Daily Science
Hot spots near the shattered remains of an exploded star are echoing the blast's first moments, say scientists using data from NASA’s Spitzer Space Telescope.

Plans
See above. Also writerly stuff and calling my doctor. And taking a look at that "how can I help you?" post.

Oh hai!

Didn't include "sometimes it's work, sometimes it's love) because Kyth wrote it, not me. (I loved it, but what I want to do here is evaluate what people like re: my writing.)

Comments welcome, though I'll be away from the computer for big chunks of today.

Boobwatch '08

'k, doc says what they're being cautious about is some dense breast tissue; dense tissue can camouflage tumors, as it basically makes a big white impenetrable blotch on the scan. So they want me to go in for an ultrasound just to be on the safe side. Trying to be chill about it; articles like this don't help so, um, I'll stop Googling now. *nod*

EDIT: Ultrasound will be 9 AM on Monday.
Max

(no subject)

My cat keeps trying to dial the phone, fast-forward the TiVo, and type. I'm typing left-handed right now because Max has plopped down on my typing hand. He has been on top of me since I returned.

Yeah. He missed me.

My daughter is singing along with "Skullcrusher Mountain" as she does her homework.

...awesome. :)

(gwynraven, she's wearing the skulls-and-jade jewelry you made her - she loves it!)
