Hello to new reader purrv23!

Got eight hours of sleep last night. That's the most I've gotten all year, I think. Go team me! Still dealing with a lot of pain, though it's not as bad this morning as it was yesterday, when it was literally driving me to distraction.

* Continue getting my office back in shape
* Make necessary phone calls
* Find lawyer to handle disability case
* Re-organize hall closet
* Buy more envelopes to pack remaining BPAL swaps/sales
* Mail BPAL swaps/sales and return books to the library, if I have a ride
* Elayna's eye doctor appointment, if I have a ride.
* Write!

(Adam did not shovel snow (neck pain), and my body won't allow it, so our car is snowed in again. If I can't get a ride, I'll have to reschedule her appointment. I can mail stuff and return *some* books to the library, but not all - the stack's too big for me to manage. Have pinged two car-enabled and possibly-free-in-daytime people re: ride possibility.)

I've got to get back on track, now that I have a few mostly-clear weeks. Got to figure out a reasonable schedule and stick to it.

Not only is ayalanya selling her beautiful work on eBay (ending today! hurry!), she's clearing out her BPAL cupboards, and has some rarities at excellent prices. Please to go look!

Interspecies sex like whoa.

Daily BPAL Arcana
Yes, I have more BPAL to sample, thanks to my spring swap person (yay!), but I'm still working on the Arcana Soaps decants.

- There's a Plumbing Issue, which is keeping me at home, waiting to be able to shower and brush my teeth. Also, staying home means bills and things aren't getting mailed.
- Can't get my car out anyway, so can't get Elayna to her eye appointment.
- Ow.

+ Got the ring I ordered at Boskone (had to be sized) - dainty silver-and-moonstone.
+ Got a care package from Spooky! DVDs and a T-shirt of Midnight Monster Hop, starring (among others) her as a Russian vampire. :) And my very own Castle Blood hoodie! I have always coveted hers. :) And imps. :)
+ Got bath bombs.
+ Ordered supplies for the necklaces I plan to make. (Yes, I count micromovements; sometimes they're all I've got, and given my physical condition, that's okay. I make them, and that's what counts.)
+ Contacted local attorney re: SSD appeal. Gimme my monies!
+ Contacted insurance company re: $300 reimbursement. Gimme my monies!

The negatives are big, but the positives outnumber them. *puts on Castle Blood hoodie*

For the first time ever, music legends and today's hottest artists take the stage for a historical musical event -- Cyndi Lauper, Erasure, Debbie Harry, The Dresden Dolls, The Gossip and The Misshapes with host Margaret Cho join in celebration of the inaugural True Colors concert tour in support of the Human Rights Campaign. This 15 city nationwide tour, presented by Logo, kicks off Gay & Lesbian Pride Month on June 8th at Las Vegas' MGM Grand Garden Arena. The concerts will feature five hours of nonstop music with other exciting special guests appearing on select dates throughout the tour including Rufus Wainwright, Rosie O'Donnell and Indigo Girls with additional guests to be announced.

The True Colors Tour was conceived by Cyndi Lauper stemming from her desire to give back to the community for the love and support they have given her throughout her career. Through a joint program with the Human Rights Campaign -- the nation's largest organization working for GLBT equality -- as well as PFLAG and The Matthew Shepard Foundation, the True Colors Tour will bring together Americans across the country to voice their solidarity against discrimination and for equality and raise public awareness about the issues facing the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender community. One dollar of every ticket sold will benefit the work of the Human Rights Campaign.

Dude. I wanna go. Erasure! Margaret Cho! Benefit!

But tickets are $76! o.O

Also: The theme of this week is deceleration.

Slamming the brakes on my high level of activity would be almost as damaging as continuing unabated. So. Deceleration.

And I'm looking at all the stuff I have to do, and not panicking, and planning to deal with it in an organized fashion - and reminding myself that I have time.

I got rather a lot done today. Much of it was online, to the point that I'm having a twinge of RSI trouble - will be heading offline after this, and saving my big workspace project for tomorrow.

My goals for this week:

* Reorganize hall closet
* Reorganize office closet
* Check out new yoga place
* Log 10 hours of paying work

...which probably sounds small to you, but hey. When I look at everything and panic, I need to remind myself that it's okay to set smallish goals so's not to get so overwhelmed.

I'm really excited about the incoming art supplies, and looking forward to dedicating a chunk of next week to Making Stuff.

What are your goals for this week? And what are you looking forward to?

Pet food recall!

Quoting thisdaydreamer: " has an updated (and huge!) list of recalled foods here(p). They still haven't figured out why cats and dogs have been getting kidney failure, but hopefully they now know all of the brands that could carry the risk."
