Happy birthday to dindin!

Hello to new reader aunticrist!

Have yet to drug self today. Spent more time asleep than awake yesterday, though. No, that's not hyperbole.

I'm really hoping that, after they crash me off the seizure meds next week, they build me back up in a sane way.

Elayna is Reading
Warriors #1: Into the Wild, by Erin Hunter. It's about cats like Redwall is about mice. And she is totally hooked. Every spare moment, she has her nose in this book.

The last book she read was Bridge to Terabithia, by Katherine Paterson. She resisted this one for years... one of those "Mom, stop nudging me, I can make my own book decisions!" things. But the other day, we were running late, and she remembered that she'd forgotten to pack a new book, having just finished her Nancy Drew. I said "You'll read a book of my choosing, then, since we don't have time for you to wibble over what you want to read." So she reluctantly trundled off with Terabithia.

She loved it, of course. And cried at the end. Who doesn't?

Not DragonCon. Just thinking about DragonCon makes me twitch.

harkalark is coming down (across?) this weekend. So my plans include lots of time with him. Also maybe bits of the Decatur Book Festival. And lunch with Helly and voldsom on Saturday, yay!

Life with 'song and Adam

'song: "Can you start a load of laundry? I am not confident in my stair-ability." (laundry room is in the basement.)

Adam: "What's wrong with your stare-ability? You're staring at me right now."

'song: *stands on tiptoes and stares at Adam, nose to nose*

Adam: *blinks*

'song: "Ha! I win."

Adam: "See? Nothing wrong with your stare-ability*

'song: *victory dance*

'song: *falls over, arms pinwheeling, barely able to maintain balance*

Adam: "I did believe you, you know. You didn't have to demonstrate."
