Blog-A-Thon story 3/4 done.

15-year-old Julia, and how she survives.
25-year-old Alanna, and her... behavior.
29-year-old Tessa, doing what she does best.

Next up is Katrianna, the ice princess, at age 19.

One day, four sisters.

Blog-A-Thon 2004: A New Hope, the director's cut, with creator commentary, weighs in at 101 pages and 140K. Everyone can receive a file of that size via e-mail, right? Because I'm not printing and shipping this! *laugh*

I'll let you know how big the tentatively-titled Four Sisters is going to be after I finish it. As it is, it's only 48K, 2,448 words, 14 pages. Brief, yes, but I think it's good, and so does yendi, so - quality over quantity.

Rather than try to force the Katrianna bit, which is going to be part two or three, depending on whether I go in ascending or descending age-order, I'm going to go work on Elayna's room. The other three chunks jumped into my head when I least expected them, so I'll wait for Kat's to do the same and, in the meantime, try to find a place for the rest of Elayna's craft supplies.

I was trying to be eloquent on this, because I try to, because I am storyteller-'song. My brainmeats have been robbed of their eloquence. A new discovery: an hour and a half out of the house is enough to thoroughly exhaust me.

So I scrapped what I was originally writing here. And sent it to him in e-mail. Because you generally are not eloquent, nor are you trying to be eloquent, when you're shooting off a quick e-mail.

I'm putting this here for posterity, because I like to remember this stuff. My road map.

I have this pathological need to label and categorize everything in my
life, particularly any sort of relationship.

This, our thingie, though not a Capital-R-Relationship, was nagging at
my brainmeats.

But I have realized now that it is beyond categorization. There is
honest and unconditional friendship here. And rampaging lust. And
there's not a word for it. But for once I'm perfectly fine with it.

Now get yer narrow ass back up here so we can watch "Dodgeball".

As an addendum: I am damn glad that you are in my life.

Went for one last night, and Alanna's quarter of the Blog-A-Thon story dropped into my head.

Went for one this late-afternoon... and I thought that I was thinking of something else, I was playing out a scenario in my head, a theoretical conversation between two real-life people, and then boom, I realized - they're talking about Katrianna, in the slightest sliver of a way.

So the story is done.

It is out for review. Four sisters, four reviewers. I shall not reveal their identities, except that of m0usegrrl, my beloved artist. I have also sent it to a friend-fan, a professional writer, and someone who does not know much about my world at all.

We shall see.

I am well pleased. This has been a great writing exercise for me.
