I told Elayna just now that we'd had the writing marathon yesterday, and she said, "Oh man... I can't believe I missed it!" Next time, sweetie.
I think a big part of the appeal of the marathon, for me personally, is that it's time allotted for writing and nothing but writing. At home, it's sometimes difficult to claim writing time. There's always so much to do. I feel guilty if I'm not unpacking, organizing, cleaning. At manifestress's, when that "Shut Up and Write" sign goes up, that is all we're allowed to do, so it's very freeing.
Right, then. On today's agenda: Office Depot, of which there is one next to the supermarket, has a cheap Mac-compatible printer. I must purchase it. Because I have been printerless since moving to Atlanta, and there's so much stuff I have to print out Shayara-wise; I will be papering the walls of my cave with family trees and timelines!
That shall be my splurge, and truly, it's a necessary one. After that, all my spare money goes towards my Boston trip, which I've got to save up for. Need to see Master!
That is it for now, I s'pose.
