They're going to see about getting me into the schedule for an appointment; in the meantime, the nurse is faxing a referral to the lab, and I'm to go in this afternoon for bloodwork. They'll check for anemia, as well as liver-function stuff, thyroid, lamotrigine levels, etc.
She says that the weight loss is unusual. Which, yeah, my neuro said in January, but it's bloody well happening. 40 pounds at my height is some pretty catastrophic weight loss. And I wouldn't worry except for the fact that it's still happening even though I'm eating normal portions again and have been for some time.
At least I got through to a person. And she listened and deemed it of sufficient urgency. I am slightly mollified.
She said I can go in after noon, 1:00, and to call her and let her know when I've done so so she can expedite it.
