Yeah. We hit the Kate Spade pretty hard. It was the first china that had either of us going "ooh", let alone both....
Also registered for casual "china" - matte black and matte ivory with square plates. And a new toaster oven, because ours is crap.
I'm actually making an effort to not register for what we don't need. We definitely need new cookie sheets, as ours suck and I like baking cookies. We need air-tight canisters - our are cute, but not airtight. We don't need a breadmaker, etc., and we have limited space.
I wish there was a way to say "Just this stuff - and if you want to give more, please make it cash, so we can fix up this house. We need an inexpensive pantry cabinet, not a bread machine."
Anyway. Accomplished that and exchanging Elayna's too-big birthday-gift jeans at the Gap; two more pairs of jeans, plus two really cute shirts that were actually on sale for $1.99 each. And I bought myself a 1950s-housewife style halter dress, because it has been four months since I have owned an article of clothing that fit me, excepting the jeans. The shirts are all too big now; they drape funny. I actually want to go back to Anthropologie now and get one of the shirts I tried on after all. So yeah. I splurged. Because I have the self-denial thing going on. I'll wander through a store picking up stuff I like, but then I turn around and put it all back and we just get the stuff for Yendi and Elayna. So I got myself something. *belligerent look*
And now mermaidblue is taking me to Michael's Crafts to get patches for Elayna's older jeans. She always wears a hole in the right knee. We're figuring cute flowers and ladybugs and stuff will punch 'em up.
