Who I Am
*waves* Hi! I'm Shira. I write stuff.

I live in one of the few single-family homes in Watertown, MA with my fabulous husband Adam (yendi), a dog (Nicodemus), and a cat (Bash). My wonderful daughter Elayna is off at college, but on breaks she lives here too. :)

Regularly-updated bibliography here.

Fighting Crime
I volunteer at the Boston Area Rape Crisis Center, doing community outreach and education. Please contact BARCC if you think your Boston-local school or place of work could benefit from one of our workshops or speeches!

Medical Crap
I have epilepsy and celiac disease, among other things. Expect me to talk about this!

Friending Policy
If you like my journal, feel free to add me! I like meeting new people. I don't friend everybody back. This is not a reflection upon you! It's just that I'm barely keeping up with the list now.

Where Else Am I?
You can find me at the BARCC blog, Facebook (you can be my fan there, too), Twitter, Tumblr, and Ravelry.

Any questions?

Thank you, drive through.
