2:30pm: The Body of the Future
SF gives us a view of various future possibilities for human bodies. Whether through evolution, body modification, or genetic manipulation, the SF future holds a lot of possibilities. How do those possibilities reflect the concerns and biases of our current society? (With stakebait, Resa Nelson, upstart_crow, vylar_kaftan

5:30pm: Art Exchange Prep 1
Take some time out to sit and chat with other attendees while you create small art projects to take home, or exchange on Monday at the Maker Fair. Possibilities include Artist Trading Cards, small knitted or crocheted projects, and small jewelry projects. (With Judah and skogkatt)

8:30pm: Speculative Poetry Reading
Join us for a speculative poetry reading! The poets don't bite, but some of the poems do. (With csecooney, Grant Carrington, Merav Hoffman, thunderpigeon, Joy Marchand, cluegirl, upstart_crow, sovay, novelfriend, skogkatt, cucumberseed.)

2:30pm: Art Exchange Prep 2

7:00pm: Addressing Sexual Harassment in Our Communities
Harassment and safety at conventions is not a new topic, but it has been very much in the spotlight for the past couple of years. Many conventions, including Arisia, are taking steps to prioritize safety. What are the best ways to make convention attendees safer? Should we be looking at convention polices and enforcement, reporting procedures, or social change on what fans tolerate as acceptable behavior? How do our current strategies work, how could they work better, and who is doing it well? (With Crystal Huff, asim, Maddy Myers, and Nicole Jurkowski.)

8:30pm: Speculative Poetry is Awesome
Over the past decade, speculative poetry has increasingly turned toward the mythic, personal, and powerful in subject matter, with venues such as Strange Horizons, Goblin Fruit, Mythic Delirium, Stone Telling, Cabinet des Fées, and Jabberwocky showcasing a new generation of poets who’ve redefined what this type of writing can do. Come discuss what's new and wonderful in the world of speculative poetry! (With cucumberseed, thunderpigeon, sovay, and skogkatt.)

....yeah, I can totally deal with that schedule.
