We are starting to get a sense of where the art goes, and can start hanging it tomorrow; tomorrow's also when more? the rest? of our used moving boxes are getting picked up. It's going to be a heavy work weekend, what with being the last time I have use of the guys for more than half an hour before my parents get here. Today the handyman's coming by to check on a few things, and then I zoom off to town - eye appointment, bank, library, and I've given up and agreed that I need that massage appointment, so I'll make that. (All of this is on the same block. I <3 Watertown.)
I have gotten back to the knitting, which is helping me relax; doing a Bracken
shawl in Malabrigo Sock, Candombe. So love that colorway, but it does not mesh well with the highly textured or very lacy things I usually do! The bank visit's to deposit my birthday check from my grandma, which I'll be using to buy yarn for some of the things I've been wanting to knit.
I don't know how my parents are going to react to/cope with Judah, so that's a source of tension right now, and it's part of why I'm pushing so hard for the house to be perfect. I can't be monogamous, but I can have a spotless house! With Elayna's late rehearsals and then performances, we won't have the usual Elayna buffer zone, either. So. Less than ideal.
Waugh. So much to do. I'll be happier when my parents are gone and my house is together! Not tht I'm not happy now; I'm just relentlessly busy, more so than usual, enough that even sneaking time to post makes me feel guilty.
How's by you?
