Happy birthday to trowa_barton, sdn, beetiger, and thespian!

State of the 'Song
Still in that holding pattern of short of breath, tired easily. Yes, if this persists beyond my trip to Florida, I will go to the doctor.

"Tell Me a Secret" Post
There are so many posts I want to respond to, but can't without unscreening! Just know that I hear you.

Also there are a few that are cracking me up. To the person who posted a thing last night about a certain con, dayum, and your last line sent me into gigglefits.

Link Soup
* Today's the last day to sign up for the Arisia art show!
* Only in Boston.
* This properly goes with autumn solstice, but here again is "A Light Against the Darkness", flash bits of the first five years after the Purges and how Shayara has been changing. (The story proper begins shortly after this.)

Daily Science
"...at 17 billion kilometers (10.6 billion miles) from the Sun, the spacecraft has reached the point where the solar wind has slowed to a stop. Literally, the wind is no longer at Voyager’s back."

Plans
Pay bills. Work, where half of work is the holiday party. Dashing home to bake cookies for the bake sale to be held at Elayna's winter concert. After the concert, a birthday party. This is one of those days where every minute is scheduled.

Good on him.
15th-Dec-2010 02:54 pm (UTC) - I am SUCH a weirdo
Because sentences like this make me nearly weep for joy: "In a few more years it’ll leave the heliosheath behind, and when that happens it will truly be in interstellar space, the vast and nearly empty region between the stars. At that moment it will be the first human device ever to truly leave the solar system and enter the great stretches of the galaxy beyond. "

Just thinking good thoughts your way today, as I do many days; but today I have spoons to say so! :)

Right back at you! Everytime I have spoons to comment, you don't have spoons to deal with comments, alas. But I am thinking good thoughts at you often. :)

<3!

I should start having spoons in general now! the major problem area has been identified, & preliminary measures taken; now it's a follow-up-tests-and-dosage-adjustment sort of process :)

Alas with the Arisia show allowing no prints in the show.

?!? That is peculiar and annoying!

This is not unusual; a lot of shows require limited editions, and they're not allowed to come off printers, they have to come off plates (like lithographs).

I see that as people holding on to the old style of doing things, when you couldn't get a quality print off a printer and there was no digital art (with the consequent lack of physical original). It means that digital artists can't exhibit in those shows, because they have neither original nor limited edition that can come off a plate.

It's for the dinosaurs as far as I'm concerned. I wish people would tell the art show directors still doing this that they should become more inclusive. There's only so much the artists can do on their own.
