Snapshot: My husband and one of my boyfriends are chowing down on an egg/sausage/cheese thing the boyfriend made. Having dressed my daughter in full Ravenclaw kit out of my own closet, I am braiding her hair into multiple scattered braids. While chairdancing to Moxy Fruvous's "Green Eggs and Ham". I have a cat on my lap.

This after last night's show with the husband and the same boyfriend, and a sleepover with much sex and, surprisingly, much catharsis. And a trip to the yarn store, and to the gluten-free bakery (pumpkin scones!).

And now the husband has gone to errands, the daughter to her party, the boyfriend to build a CNC machine, and it is quiet and I am Gchatting with my other boyfriend and I have a big smile on my face.

Some days are not good, but most days are good. Today is good.

This makes me want to ask a possibly inappropriate and intrusive question. So I won't.

...So I probably shouldn't even post this comment, but I'm going to anyway.

I am going to play the guess-the-question game! Here are some answers.

1. I slept over at the boyfriend's; Adam slept here. (Yes, he's cool with that.)
2. No, Adam isn't involved with this or any boyfriend. They just both like eggs and I don't.
3. Worsted-weight superwash wool for scarves for my uncle and cousins.

I love wool blends - silk, bamboo, alpaca, cashmere - but these are for college-age guys, and I do not think they're going to hand-wash their scarves! Cascade 220 Superwash is very soft and comes in dozens of yummy colors. (I restricted my purchases to charcoal grey, dark green, and green/brown, because college-age guys, not so color-experimental. But I got some of this in 9932 for a cowl for sindrian.)

You got it with #2. I was wondering if Adam participated in the sex (so not a thing I'd ask, but for some reason I'll acknowledge correct guesses).

#1 and #2 were my top guesses. :) Nope, Adam's not into that.

Which actually brings up another question: how does it work being poly with a partner who isn't? I'd be so jealous.

I like to joke that the arrangement is to Adam's benefit because I'm too much woman for one man; I'm only half-joking! I am kind of a lot of person, highly-concentrated high-intensity, and it works best if I am evenly distributed over several people. This way Adam gets to just hang out and play Lego Batman sometimes. It gives introvert-husband downtime.

You know, that totally makes sense, even just from what I know of you online. You seem like quite a woman.

You have a wealth of happy things.

Hooray, happy/content/good. :)

All of those things sound wonderful, both individually and collectively.

I <3 Moxy Fruvous. There are very few people where I live (southern US) who have heard of them, though, so I can only share my love of them through the interwebz. :)

Once I was the King of Spain...

Wait, what? A patch of America got left behind in all that?

(You know about Jian Ghomeshi's show, yes? :) )

Yeah, Memphis, TN isn't really "up" in its pop culture knowledge.

(I didn't, but I do now! I'll have to check it out! Thanks!!)
