Happy birthday to brithistorian!

Happy early birthday to envoy, puddin666, and sealgair, who advance a year over the weekend!

Hello to new reader herbertinc!

State of the 'Song
Only woke up twice last night, so - improvement? The tech is coming out to look at the CPAP today. My breathing is still a little off, but it's not bronchitis off; I know what that feels like. Biggest body annoyance at the moment is literally a pain in my neck. I slept wrong night before last and it is just not going away.

Just So You Know

That and "I grieve for the past" are my new things. Also, obviously I require an owl. I'm threatening to buy bunnies and goats this weekend.

Happiness Is
Two cute guys (yendi and sindrian) cleaning your kitchen. (While you are cleaning the dining room and living room; no slacking!) Thanks to pre-con crazybusy and post-con exhaustion, the house was a mess, which really does drive me up a wall. This helps immeasurably. I still need to do work upstairs, which I won't get to this afternoon because the CPAP tech will be here - but hey, maybe that'll give me time for knitting. After I tidy my office.

I Don't Really Have Link Soup
Because pretty much all of my tabs are things I have to read or watch before I know if they're post-worthy.

Daily Science
Dramatic flares and bursts of energy - activity previously thought reserved for only the strongest magnetized pulsars - has been observed emanating from a weakly magnetised, slowly rotating pulsar. The international team of astrophysicists who made the discovery believe that the source of the pulsar's power may be hidden deep within its surface.

Friday Memage
Wearing: Black cowlneck top and jeans; winking skulls knee-highs. Haven't decided on jewelry yet.
Reading: The Dervish House by Ian McDonald and The Pain Chronicles by Melanie Thernstrom.
Writing: No time this week, but I did get an extension, yay! So the temple prostitutes in Vegas story next week.
Knitting: I'd hoped to get the Arabella shawl done before this weekend, but it's not idiot knitting, so no chance. I'm 1/3 of the way through the last baby blanket in my queue, a purple one for kythryne and Amy.
Planning
Today: Said above. No out-of-the-house plans tonight.
Tomorrow: Going to Rhinebeck with Pilar & co.!
Sunday: Something with feste_sylvain. We don't know what yet.

You?

Tomorrow: Going to Rhinebeck

Oh, curses! I'm (probably) going on Sunday! Well, small world, anyway. Y'all will be about 30 minutes from my front door. <3

Thanks for the birthday wishes! Today I'll be working, to be followed by birthday dinner (probably jambalaya) and cake (German chocolate). I have no idea what's going on this weekend, except that a large part of it will be cleaning up the kitchen.

I've been waffling about going to Rhinebeck tomorrow or Sunday. I think the chance to cross paths with you is a vote for Saturday. Unfortunately, that brings it up to two for Saturday and two for Sunday, which doesn't help with the indecision.

Having friends visit (one from Boston, one from Ohio) and going to Faire on Saturday!
