Because I am wigging out to the point of okay, stop, consider where your life does not suck:

I am very fortunate in my friends, that I have at least three people who I could've called upon to give me a ride to the dentist (not counting Adam, because he'd've had to take the bus home and might not have gotten here in time). But, in the moments after my tooth pretty much exploded, after I determined I needed to get to the dentist ASAP, called the dentist, and called Adam, I had three people on my shortlist of "people I know will come and take me to the dentist in the middle of the afternoon if they're not doing an emergency thing for themselves".

And that's a good place to be. Not that I ever want this to happen again. But having a bunch of people any time of day or night (because there are other people who can and would help evenings, weekends) who would take you to the dentist is a good thing. Healthy community.

(I can't drive because
a) I don't know what drugs I'll be given
b) my last seizure was two months ago, so I'm not street-legal for another four
c) Stress and sleep-dep are seizure triggers anyway, so even if I was street-legal, it wouldn't be a sound risk.)

Egads, honey. Sending a virtual hug, as I think it's about the only thing I can do. (Unless I find sick cartoons to email. Those are always healing.)

Yay for healthy community-ism! Boo for the bad tooth.

(And I don't know who the other 2 are, but slipjig was the one to come to my mind....)

fiddle_dragon and sindrian, for the record; neither slipjig nor fiddle_dragon are employed at the moment, and they both live in the same town as me. sindrian is on a work/study thing with a malleable schedule, but he's been ferrying me everywhere for StrowlerCon stuff, so I wanted to give him a break if I could! Most other people have day jobs.

*palmforehead* I don't know why I didn't think of fiddle_dragon! I guess my brain hadn't connected you two for some odd reason...

At any rate. I'm glad that you have people around you who can help out. :)

Just as a quick reminder, until I'm employed again, I'm on that list barring any interviews.

Yep! I called slipjig first because I know you're very busy with the job hunt, but you would've been call #2 or #3, definitely. And thank you.

and as it turned out, I was in interview land *today*. Whee...*cross fingers*

Are you ok now?

See next post, but short version: not very, but I will be?

Marian Call played at our house last night, due to you. She is amazing, I'm thrilled she played here, and her act has convinced my fellow condo residents we need to have more live music concerts. I told her you were the link and she definitely knows who you are. I hope you get a chance to see her at her Boston shows. ((hugs)) I can't drive you around, but you still rock my socks and you could borrow my car.

Yay! Hopefully I'll get to see her when she's in Boston...
