Busy
Frank says "Geez! No wonder you've been hard to reach!" And it occurred to me that y'all may not know the magnitude of what I've been up to the past month.

StrowlerCon: 33 panel items. Coordinating with omnisti, s00j, cluegirl, denimskater, stealthcello, Frank, et cetera on workshop people/panel participants/makers/demos/performers. Schedule hopefully finalized tonight; will post tomorrow. Panels/workshops are all me.

Arisia: 100+ panel items on my track. Will have to assign panelists Friday afternoon with a last pass Saturday morning, and get concom my list of top panels Saturday morning.

BARCC volunteer training: 40-hour training with 16 presenters taking place over the course of the month. Interviewed 45 prospective volunteers in addition to, y'know, scheduling the thing by the skin of my teeth. This is all done but the photocopying of handouts - for the first day, anyway. Which is Saturday.

Also, Elayna started her sophomore year, I need to write two stories, and I've had a ton of other stuff going on that I can't even think of at the moment because my head is full of Strowler stuff. Also lots of social-life stuff.

But yeah, the confluence of those three things is what's been kicking my ass.

I've actually been doing *nothing* on the bus - no reading or knitting, because I wanted to set aside some time that I'm not shoving things into.

Good. That's probably helpful!

*nods firmly*

In the last five weeks or so, I have:

- taken over as acting president for one of the non-profit board of directors I sit on
- had my sister visit for 5 days (including my uncle flaking on bringing her up, necessitating a last-minute favor from one of my clients)
- assisted with massive organization of a large fund-raiser for the other non-profit board I sit on
. . . which has included arranging 8 food vendors donating appetizers and the surprise last-minute health department paperwork
. . . and personally wrangled approximately 30 donations from various entities
- gone to StrowlerFest, which involved:
. . . three 18-hour days in a row
. . . almost all of which were on my feet performing heavy physical work (massage and cooking)
. . . maniacal organization the four days prior to square away things like massage schedule, menu, shopping list, et al.
. . . a 16-hour drive each way
. . . wrestling with the hotel over the unwelcome six-legged visitors that hitched a ride in my car as a result of staying in said hotel
- attended my cousin's wedding out of town
- consulted on the creation of a local firespinning protocol and discussed the formation of a local fire guild
- assisted with the home farm, consisting of ten goats, two dogs, a cat, eight turkeys (one of which is unwell), and a multitude of rabbits (three of which are due to kindle any day now)
- started training for a fourth volunteer gig
- continued to expand my business, while also working for others
- helped out at a cooking competition
- made and served appetizers for thirty at another food event
- started organizing for my gig at StrowlerCon
- and still managed to fit in a small amount of cleaning, some laundry, and maintaining a relationship with my sweetie

. . . good Christ, no wonder I'm exhausted. o.O
