So today...

I wrote the first chunk of a short story that is going to involve me exploring how I present sacred sex like a lot, had a nap, had lunch with a friend, caught up on some backlogged e-mail, cleaned some of the things, got a request for my bio for an upcoming story, got notified that another story is being nominated for an award, and got asked to write a parenting column or indeed any column I want for our new hyperlocal Watertown newssite. And tonight I will set the Strowlercon schedule.

It occurs to me that most people don't have all of this stuff happening on the same day. And so. Hi.

I read 120 pages of material, had to reorganize 12 pages of notes the professor gave us down to 8 because she had shitty notes (but told us that she wanted us to participate in class not be frantically scribbling so to use the class notes not our own.), rough out two papers, drive an hour to Nashville and over an hour home due to a massive accident. We got ice cream, talked psych, laid out one of my issues and the consequences of it (didn't cry), came home, and finally went to bed.

Today, I need to study one chapter of Intro to psych, 4 chapters of Psych of Women for an exam, polish one paper to a first draft, submit it to prof for review and figure out when we can meet, and spend time with AJ.

Tomorrow, repeat all that only with one chapter of Developmental psych.

Monday, same thing only it is write a paper, and one chapter of abnormal psych.

So yep, scheduling is my super power.

I remember you saying something once about craving gluten-free donuts, so when I saw a review of Cooking For Isaiah (http://www.glutenfreeflavorfull.com/2010/08/book-review-cooking-for-isaiah.html) that prominently mentioned the recipe for GF chocolate-dipped chocolate donuts, I immediately thought of you. Hopefully this will help you get your nom on. :-D

Which story is up for an award?

"Salt Brides", the selkie one.

I didn't realize you had a selkie story. I shall have to put that one on my list of things to watch for.

At any rate, congrats on the nomination--and good luck!
