The schedule post, before I fall down go boom.

Busy
In case you're wondering where I can be found, et cetera.

This Saturday, 1:00-4:30, I'll be helping out at the NOMAS Boston Supply Drive in Porter Square, soliciting donations for domestic violence shelters. Please come donate, and please join us - my BARCC colleague Dave is organizing this and can always use more awesome feminist men!

Saturday night and Sunday are parties.

All next week is volunteer training! I'm backup-facilitator for this training so I can be one of the primary facilitators next time. Which means that pretty much all this week is getting eaten by prep, and next week will be eaten by training. Also it looks like I'm running a Clothesline Project workshop Thursday after the training.

But hey, Wednesday the 9th is RuPaul's Drag Race tour, and I would like to go to that if I can talk someone into going with me.

Saturday the 12th is Pride! I'm tabling for BARCC 11-1, and otherwise just hanging out there. swashbucklr may be in town.

The week after that is miraculously not insane.

Saturday the 19th is the Beginning of Summer Party! It's also Can't Stop the Serenity. Anyone going to CStS from the party?

June 24, Elayna leaves for Israel and I get my ass in gear writing Cicatrix. Because I really need more than half an hour a day for that one.

June 26 is a party in New York I'd like to get to, if I can get there. I have crashspace!

July 4th weekend, I need to go pick Elayna up from Newark. I... don't yet know how that's going to work.

July 8-11 is Readercon!

July 17-18 is a visit from my mother-in-law, and Elayna goes to Explo on the 18th, and lo, I cry.

July 20-24 Adam will be in San Jose.

July 23-25 or so I would very much like to be in Florida, but that all depends on airfare. Jetblue, please run a sale! I miss my FL friends!

July 29 I will be speechifying about fucking dating while feminist with Jaclyn Friedman and Holly Pervocracy. The aforementioned Dave has put this together. He is an instigator. It should be awesome and you should come.

July 31 is BLOGATHON Y0.

August 7 Elayna returns! And there will be much rejoicing!

August 20-22 is 5Pi-Con.

August 23-27 is another volunteer training!

And I will stop there. This does not include regularly-occurring things like BARCC peer supervision meetings and Diesel, and stuff like lunches with friends and general datery. Also more parties will appear, and more volunteer gigs, and through all this I'll be doing stuff like organizing for StrowlerCon and the August volunteer training.

So yeah hi.

When you're in NYC, if you have extra time (laughter) for hanging out and/or looking for local company, feel free to drop me a line. I've heard rumors of gluten-free cupcake bakeries in the city... :) An excuse to explore the healthier eatieries and or crafty places of the city is always good.

Oh, I won't be in NYC, I'll be in upstate NY - unless I hang out in NYC July 4th weekend before scooping the kid up in Newark. In which case I'd totally look you up! Local company is the best way to experience a city. :)

*laughter* Goodness! I am so NYC-centric that I sometimes forget there's a rest of the state. Okay, maybe on the 4th then!

Regarding New York City on the Fourth: If I'm in town (still uncertain), I may be able to help.

Tell me what day Elayna is flying into Newark (NJ, right?) My mother lives 15 minutes from there and I would be happy to pick her up and take her somewhere more accessible to you. (I have a car with ezpass)

Then I'll hold out hopes to maybe catch up with you in autumn, depending on your schedule and etc etc. Because I sure want to.

To get Elayna at Newark, you could take Bolt Bus from South Station to NYC Penn Station, then catch the PATH train (NYC - NJ subway) from Penn out to Newark Airport. A bit cumbersome and time-consuming, but doable, and not terribly expensive.
