Happy early birthday to beloved stealthcello, who advances a year over the weekend!

Medical
Still really sore. Not as bad as yesterday.

Continuing Birthday Festivities!

I've decided against a dinner mob tonight, because herding cats made me go a bit stressball-ish Wednesday. Eat where you want, get to the theatre by 7, we'll save seats as we can (hence getting the headcount here), but no guarantees if it's packed. Buy your tickets in advance if you can! And I figure we'll hit Diesel after.

If you'll be here tomorrow, sign up for your role; still many parts to choose from!

Treats for Tits
You can bid on my GF muffins and other tasty treats til 5 today; click here!

Argh
So I got my eyes checked yesterday.

All of my birthday money has gone to a newly-necessary pair of progressive multifocals. And I have been roundly chastised for failing to stay on top of my eye exams, with my borderline glaucoma. Nyargh. Apparently my optic nerves are really fragile. Go team me.

...I wanted to buy cute new work clothes with that money. *pout*

I have had no time to review my Google Reader, so you get no link soup today, but -

Daily Science
National Institutes of Health (NIH) scientists investigating how prion diseases destroy the brain have observed a new form of the disease in mice that does not cause the sponge-like brain deterioration typically seen in prion diseases. Instead, it resembles a form of human Alzheimer's disease, cerebral amyloid angiopathy, that damages brain arteries.

Friday Memeage
Wearing: Black cowlneck shirt, elisem necklace, feather headband, jeans.
Reading: Heartland by markteppo and Muse and Reverie by Charles de Lint.
Writing: No time no time. Scribbled a few lines of a poem.
Knitting: Still the "Land of Oz" shawl.
Planning:
Today: Work, wandering with enderfem, Garment District with her + Elayna. Dinner maybe with them + fiddle_dragon and Beena? Then Alice in Wonderland!
Tomorrow: Oh, you know all about that.
Sunday: Low-key winding down and bidding guests goodbye. A nap.

You?

Wearing: Dark blue and cream striped shirt (with a pretty dark blue satin neckline), dark green pants that used to be tight and are now too loose! I rock with my 15-pound weight loss.
Reading: I've been working on the English translation of The Mabinogian forever, and loving it.
Writing: I recently finished a call-and-response Brighid chant. Some time this month I need to write a chant and things for Moonfire's Ostara ritual.
Cross-stitching: Still working on the puppy "naps" piece that I think will be Mom-Mom's x-mas gift last year this year.
Planning:
Today - work, then laundry and an assortment of job application stuff and apartment-hunting emails/phone calls.
Tomorrow - hopefully, looking at some apartments. Ideally, locking down an apartment! Then maybe Spellbound.
Sunday - cleaning, packing, etc.

I fell down two flights of stairs when I got my progressive lenses. Be careful, Little Sister!

Haven't been able to get there. :( We only have a half-hour window between school letting out and the office closing, and we keep losing that time for various reasons. Tuesday, I hope.
