One of the things I heard most this weekend: "Your daughter is so awesome!"
And K pointed out that that totally makes me glow. :)
Because she is. My daughter is smart, clever, kind, funny, and so many other things. She impressed the hell out of her fellow panelists; one thing I hear about is that she is so composed
for her age. She has her act together way more than I did at 14, that's for sure. Part of it comes from being raised with my friends as her friends - so she's grown up conversing with adults and never being condescended to. She's taken seriously, and her opinions are valid.
Part of it, I think, is intrinsic awesomeness. She has rocked from a very young age. When people compliment me on my l33t parenting skillz, I point out that I had great source material. :)
